Omicho Market is Kanazawa's covered central market, where stalls sell Sea of Japan seafood and local produce and a number of counters serve it over rice as kaisendon. Entry is free and the market trades 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, which makes it a morning or lunch stop rather than an evening one. It is about 15 minutes' walk from Kanazawa's centre.
