The Pola Museum of Art holds a large collection of Impressionist and modern European painting alongside Japanese work, in a building sunk almost entirely below ground so that it does not break the Hakone treeline. Admission is ¥2,200 on the door or ¥2,000 booked online, and it opens 9:00 AM–5:00 PM with last entry at 4:30 PM. A forest walking trail runs from the grounds.
Usual hours — confirm with the official site for holidays + seasonal closures.
