A tiny, near-carless fishing island in the Seto Inland Sea, 40 minutes by ferry from Takamatsu. Steep, whitewashed lanes wind uphill from the port past Jaume Plensa's white-shell 'Ogijima's Soul' ferry terminal (2010 Setouchi Triennale), scattered island artworks, and ~200 free-roaming cats, up to a lighthouse and forested summit.
