The Mooka Railway runs the SL Mooka, a restored C12 steam locomotive, on weekends through the rural rice fields and small wooden stations of eastern Tochigi. Catching the train trailing white steam past the cherry blossoms or rapeseed fields is the classic shot. (Note: the SL Mooka steam service is suspended April 2026–March 2027; regular Mooka Railway trains still run the line.)
